56 - Skin removal tattoos

This has nothing to do with tattoos but may I have your attention for just a second?

My aunt has just launched Charma International Limited, her own online boutique that sells jewelry and household accessories. They make very good gifts (albeit a little late to buy for Christmas) and I would love for all of you committed readers to check her website out.

Further details can be found on her website, and I talk about it in a bit more detail on my other blog.

(Be forewarned: Explicit photograph to come. If you are a sensitive perceiver, avert your eyes and come back for the next post.)

It's known amongst my friends that I have a phobia of frogs and lizards. Now, when it comes to tattoos and piercings... I think they fit into Top Fear #3 and #4. But hey, this specific form of tattoo is utterly horrid. Skin removal? Yikes.

I might get a tattoo if there's one that really suits me enough, but really, I think there are better ways of expressing oneself.

Yucks.. I always wonder why people would want to do that to their bodies.

Holy cr*p. I was eating chocolate whilst reading this and nearly choked! The pain of that must've been excruciating!
I have tatoos myself but never had my skin cut out like htat....

Mulled Vine: Mhm.

Everyday Housewife: I hate those cases where a guy has their lover's name tattooed on to them and then the relationship takes a downward turn, meaning a removal of a tattoo... double the pain...

Vivienne: Crap. Sorry I made you choke. I found this online a couple of weeks ago and it immediately made me scrunch up my face in disgust. Ew.

I have got no problem with tattoos, haven't got one myself, never felt the need. But that skin removal I have never seen before, that is scary.

My beef with tattoos is that guys have to have skulls, symbols of death and crap.

Girls have much better taste when it come to tattoos, although the girl with the massive bamboo grove, well, that's weird too.

yeah true, they've got another tatoo method called "branding" liek what you do with a cow. They burn a form into your skin and the iron is so hot the wound automatically seals. OUCH.
also have you seen those people with MASSIVE piercings in their earlobes, the ones that have a diametre of about 3 cm??

ohkay that's a little extreme and haha i would never get someone's name tattooed on me, i read this story about this guy who had his wife and two daughter's faces tattooed on his back, like, it took up all of his back so it wasn't small either;
and his wife later cheated on him and they ended up getting divorced
i was like, ohhh that's gotta suck
but i personally want a small tattoo on my wrist, i want it to be meaningful though, perhaps "hope is not a myth", one of my favourite quotes from TWLOHA. or like Renee of TWLOHA's tattoos on her wrists. But I think they should be meaningful and I don't like huge or elaborate/colourful ones

AV: That is scary, ain't it. I also don't like it when guys do anything that's typical macho or jock-esque. I've been straying away from that area on this blog, oh, but some days, I could just rant an angry rant...

hrix: Yup.

Vivienne: I have seen all sorts of piercings, in all sorts of places, in a wide range of numbers, concentrated and spread out on one's body. I hate piercings very, very much.

Larissa: I know. My father has four animals tattooed on his body. The big tiger on his back represents me. My stepsisters are represented by a dragon on his chest, a butterfly on his shoulder and an eagle on his other shoulder.

It's a shame he's such a shit father.

Ohhhh you'd hate me then I have two piercings. Not obvious ones though so it's not too bad for when I take tehm out one day!

For some reason I keep coming back to this post to look at the pictures! the girl is sipping what looks like orange juice with crushed morphine or something for the pain???

Reading Toivoa ja Elämän comment - I once had an ex-boyfriends initial tatooed on me! (One of the many stupid things I have done yes) now it's a beautiful butterfly.

Michael - your dad's tatoos sound quite nice! I always imagine a father with tatoos quite a scary man with big muscles.

Vivienne: If you're interested, here's the blogI got the images from. Displays the whole process.

Ever seen the show, Dexter? They just had a serial killer that skinned people. This reminds me of that...and this was intentional.

I like tatoos and don't have anything against them. I think this is going a bit too far.

Charli Henley said...

This is terrifying. Let's not get tattoos together. And let's not get creepy skin removal together too.

Michael said...

Vivienne: Uh huh.

Marcy: I don't watch it but I see and hear of the great scenes, that episode included. Good taste in TV, Marcy.

Charli: Deal.

Damn. Ok, I got all my tattoos done by my 14 year old friend who used a sewing needle and indian ink from Walmart... and I thought that was painful.

It's an interesting concept though, I know people who have done scarification. Scary.

Madame DeFarge said...

Totally gross. I had a friend who had the branding thing and it made me feel very queasy. I like tattoos up to a point, but this is just too wierd.

The Drifter said...

Hello Michael,

Thank You for your comment. I have seen this before, honestly it does not bother me at all.

Vulgar Red Pullover said...

ewww Who the hell would do that? What is wrong with a normal tatoo

Michael said...

Hippie: Wow, that's quite cool. You can really give home tattoos? I thought you had to be licensed. I think scarification is quite a commitment to a particular idea to have your skin cut out like that.

Madame DeFarge: Yes, agreed. It would feel quite strange talking to someone who has been scarred or branded.

The Drifter: You have a strong stomach. Or perhaps I have a vivid imagination... perhaps I shouldn't picture that skin is mine.

Stuart: Hahahaha. Perhaps it wasn't painful and rebellious enough.

Charli Henley said...

You all have reminded me of an old boyfriend... I tattooed one of my poems onto his leg on our first date. He was insane.

Michael said...

Wow. A whole poem.

...Wow.

Charli Henley said...

Well. It was a short poem. As strange as it sounds, it was pretty sexy.

Michael said...

Charli: As you said, it sure sounds strange.

I don't know if this would really qualify as tatooing...

I'm happy with the little tattoos you get in Cracker Jack boxes.

i have the name Andy on the bottom of my foot in honor of the movie toy story...in case you aren't familier with the movie, all the toys have the name andy written on there feet. so i decided to become a toy story doll for life.

theres no fuckin way i would ever try out the skin removal thing though. ouch.

Michael said...

thumbsUpsmile: The site I got it from calls it a tattoo. So I called it a tattoo. I would prefer people to get the ones from Cracker Jack boxes...

Short Stick: That's actually a really cool idea. Nice. Very nice.

PsychoW4nk said...

I think it looks quite nice... despite how painful it must have been...

Unreal. What people do to their bodies these days.
