Wasn't that amusing? Was it any more amusing than saying 'Eve' twice? I think not!
Tell me: Do you hate it too?
(I haven't used the signature line for a while.)

I will probably fall asleep about 11, like I have done most years. Don't get old.
Hello Michael,
Thank You. Your comment was very sweet. I am pleased you liked that piece.
Wow. I have never actually heard anyone use the phrase "new year's eve eve" but I officially hate it, too. Just out of curiousity, did you actually count out all those eves? I didn't bother to check.
Like zoe, I've never heard anyone use it and I would be just beligerint enough to point out their error if i should...

Douglas: I have spent it with family for seventeen years. I'm going out for the first time this year.
The Drifter: Thank you, really.
Zoe: That's the right number of Eves. I used my professional copy+paste skillz (with a Z, of course).
AV: People really do use it. I don't get it. I don't like hearing it.
I really didn't get the point.
why is it New Year's eve eve ?
eve = evening, right ?
I've definitely heard people say this. I remember when I was little and would try to get early Christmas presents out my my parents, I'd tell them it's Christmas Eve EVE EVE EVE.
You'll have to forgive me. I was young and idiotic. I now realize the error in my ways lol.
Prash: The day before, or the evening before a holiday = eve. That means 'New Year's Eve Eve' is December 29th. How ridiculous.
Phil: Yes, thank you. I knew people would have heard it. lol.
