140 - When people never answer your calls or reply to your texts

Sometimes, (not often, but sometimes) the phone acts wonky and it doesn't really receive the calls/messages, in which case, it's excusable (unless it's happened repeatedly for months non-stop. Get a new phone!)

Most of the time, though, people aren't turning them on, bringing it with them, checking it every now and then, checking the missed calls, and the like, and seriously, what is the point of having a
mobile phone, if you're not going to utilize it when you're mobile?

I hate it. People call me, I pick it up immediately because it's courteous. People send me a text message, I reply promptly because I don't want to leave them hanging there, waiting.

And it's so damn annoying because they're not... physically near you most of the time, for you to freakin' strangle them in anger... argh!

I hate it when people do that. I'm one of those annoying cases - if you don't pick up first time round - I will leave you 17 missed calls. Bit psycho I know...

I've tagged you on my page - just don't know how to link to it :(

I'm one of those people who alwaysALWAYS misses phone calls. It's not like I try! Somehow, people manage to call during the few moments I don't have my phone on me.

My brothers are notorious for not having their phones with them or having them turned off. I keep mine on 24/7 and with me at all times.

I think the problem is that we're used to instant communication these days, rather than waiting on a letter or being used to answering a mobile - whcih of course we all have. Those of us old people who remember life before such advances have a sight more patience I suspect. Or we just can't move our fingers fast enough to text or type,

I loathe people who never reply to text messages. I also hate it when people don't reply with the same form of communication, like replying to a text with a phone call (unless otherwise specified with a "call me"), or when someone replies to a voice mail with a text instead of calling you back.

Yes! Thankyou for bringing this up, I've been trying to explain to a couple of people in particular that if you dont want to continue with a text conversation then they could at least let you know rather then leaving you hanging.
Hi, by the way, I only just started reading your blog and I'm finding them very interesting.
And sorry for the rather long comment, I've been becoming rather annoyed about this particular topic recently.

Sometimes I just don't want to answer my phone. Especially if I'm at home and doing what I consider to be important things... or sleeping, which I consider a very important task. Don't take it so seriously when people don't answer! It's their prerogative!
